On Sunday, July 28, we’ll be making a very special appearance back where it all again — Emerson College! Specifically, the Uncommon Stage, which is an Emerson-sponsored Harpoon Brewery Beer Garden on the Common. Hooray beer!
This is fun for us, not only because of the aforementioned beer, and the opportunity to play outdoors in a big public spot at Emerson College — but also, because this band originally started right there in the Little Building at 80 Boylston Street, steps away from the Uncommon Stage itself. In fact, there is at least one song in our setlist that was written twenty years ago while looking out the window of my freshman college dorm at the Boston Common.
(We may also debut a version of a new song that tells the tale of Thom and Walker meeting on the 12th floor of the Little Building, then dubbed the “Wellness Floor,” and also a highly inappropriate story of Thom and Chris swigging whiskey until sunrise while standing on the corner at Boylston and Tremont oops)
This is another one of those longer shows, which we’ll be mixing up with some cover songs and mini-solo sets from each of our band members. Plus, hey, it’s free!
Well, the music’s free. Not the beer though. Sorry.
